Fantastic Bob!!!

Artist's Description

An homage to Surrealist painter Rene Magritte, one of my favorite artists. Magritte's work often plays with our perceptions of visual reality. I've tried to do that here. Look at the painting and ask yourself: is the box really small? or is the pear incredibly large? Why do you think that?

About Bob Nolin

Bob Nolin

My passion is Realism, especially close up, with lots of detail. Each painting is a labor of love, and can take from 20 to 75 hours to complete. I've been working full time as an artist since 2004, and attended several art schools in the early 1980's. My work has won awards at the local and national level, and has been published in "American Artist" and "International Artist" magazines. I live near Pittsburgh, PA with my wife, two teenagers, and a small menagerie of animals. Please don't bother using the email form. I don't accept emails from Fine Art America visitors. Thanks.
