Beautiful Painting FV

Artist's Description

This is a painting of Alice Drinkwater, known as Daily Alice from the World Fantasy winning novel Little, Big by John Crowley. It's one of my favorite books. The image is based on a scene early in the book where Daily Alice goes to the woods to speak with Grandfather Trout, who's swimming near the base of the rock she's sitting on. The model is Elandria on Deviant Art.com.

About Bob Nolin

Bob Nolin

My passion is Realism, especially close up, with lots of detail. Each painting is a labor of love, and can take from 20 to 75 hours to complete. I've been working full time as an artist since 2004, and attended several art schools in the early 1980's. My work has won awards at the local and national level, and has been published in "American Artist" and "International Artist" magazines. I live near Pittsburgh, PA with my wife, two teenagers, and a small menagerie of animals. Please don't bother using the email form. I don't accept emails from Fine Art America visitors. Thanks.
